A note on updates
| When the film of
my novel The Prestige was announced at the beginning of 2006
(released in October and November of that year, in the USA and UK
respectively), life became ... unusual. This website suddenly started
receiving hundreds of hits a day, and when the film was on release,
thousands a day. At the same time there was a commensurate flood of
emails. It was impossible to keep the thing up to date, and it has
been dormant ever since.
Now life has returned to normal (the movie presumably entering its twilight years as a re-run on television), I plan to catch up a bit at a time. I have been surprised and touched by the number of people asking why there have been no updates recently. I hope this note encourages them, and others, to keep watching. The first thing I plan to do is take down all the stuff about the film. Chris Priest
