The Story So Far
Last Update January 17, 2009

In the far future, Earth is mainly ruled by the world-spanning Balance government. Due to pollution and fallout from nuclear and biological war, most of the Earth is uninhabitable. Most humans live in giant Balance arcology towers that house millions of people. Balance is at war with an alien race who are trying to invade Earth, and are at an uneasy peace with the few remaining Free Nations, which are mainly situated in Asia.

The Force is a terrorist organisation which opposes the Balance. Its members are freedom fighters from all over the world. Some of its members, notably its leader, the 130-year-old John Argyris, are descendants of aliens who visited Earth before the invasion began. The Force is organised into teams. Force Alpha consists of Alex Parker , Rachel Grey and Jay. Alex and Rachel are ordinary humans while Jay is John Argyris' son, and an alien "descendant".

Their first mission together was to test out the Force's new secret weapon, a stolen Balance prototype robot soldier, who they knew as a girl named Fourteen. However, during the mission, she mysteriously regained the memories of the body she was built from, and lost her programming, forgetting how to use her abilities. Her inherited personality was a Balance girl named Lysandra Nichols. She was more than willing to help fight against the Balance clone soldiers who ambushed them, however.

During the ambush the lives of Rachel and Jay were saved by the mysterious intervention of a figure who the Balance leader (and Alex's father), Theodore Parker identifies as "Marre". Force Alpha escapes, but they are unaware of Marre's involvement. Thanks to a tip-off from Theodore Parker, who is keen to stop Marre, John Argyris learns more about their mysterious benefactor. John thinks she is someone from his past called Bella, who influenced him to start the Force, and who he believes is (unbeknownst to Rachel) Rachel's mother.

As the team returns home, John is keen to interrogate everyone to learn more about the mysterious person who could be a powerful friend or enemy. He must also deal with the issue of Lysandra, who is no longer useful as a secret weapon.
